Those Actives have there upsides and downsides I reckon... they are probably best if you are performing, the actives are like a built in pedal so it is alot more convenient if you are a touring band but other wise, I think they are not that great... the actives have more parts and shit to it so it is just more to go wrong.

I have a cheap shitty ibanez and i'm getting a fender american standard precision 5-string. I like Ibanez. I don't really like 5 strings... low or high B on 5 strings are usually used as a murmur (whatever it is called) I thought the strings were to close together... but yeah, some people like them. I've never tried an American Startard Precision though, they any good?

I don't really like 5 strings... low or high B on 5 strings are usually used as a murmur (whatever it is called) I thought the strings were to close together... but yeah, some people like them. I've never tried an American Startard Precision though, they any good? Well i like them, but i know some people don't. But that's just people who don't like fenders in general. Ibanezes are okay as long as you actually buy a decent instrument from them. I have a pathetic cheap one. 5 strings are cool because... well i don't know why i just like them. Marc McKnight from Atreyu uses one.

At school i tend to use my fingers cuz i don't feel like taking my plectrums (weird word, why not just call them picks?) to school so the annoying guitarist kids can steal them from me just because they forgot theirs. At home/ with friends/ anything else really, i generally use a pick but it really dpends
